Rules of the land Welcome to /r/2007scape, the place to discuss Old School RuneScape! If you're asking Jagex, well just look at all the decisions they've made till now and you got your answer.Submit a link Submit a text post Submit a game suggestion In terms of what's better for the game overall kinda depends on who you ask. There's no perfect mmo as everyone has different preferences, some like there to constantly being new BIS to farm while others prefer the game to remain as stagnant as possible. Higher tier quiver can hold more than 1 type of ammo, which is pretty neat in cases where you'd maybe wanna do a crossbow to bow switch etc.īut yeah it's up to you if you'd prefer coming back to a game from a break to then find out your gear is outdated or if you prefer it still being relevant while there are new sidegrades that are more relevant in specific types of content. Rs3 did something about ammo slot aswell by adding quivers, basically quivers have stats of their own while you can put ammo in them. Skills are getting their caps increased to 120 to be able to add more endgame content, examples like slayer and herblore got increased to 120 with slayer monsters/potions that require more than 99 to kill/make. Bandos is basically newbie armour at this point, torva is at best midgame tier as there are 3 tiers of melee dps sets above it, the highest one already requiring 99 defence. If you're wondering about powercreep, you just have to look at rs3. I for one would potentially like to see the blessing/ammo slot gain some extra/different utility in the future, and personally I like the idea of different BIS for different activities instead of a one-size-fits-all BIS, however I also dont think that totally restricting powercreep is healthy for the game either. Point being, is powercreep the best option? Are "niche" BIS "sidegrades" (Inquisitors, Wildy Rings, etc.) a better path for the game overall? What would even replace the Fremennik rings or Zenyte jewellery? I was just thinking the other day, and hopefully someone with a combination of more creativity and more in depth game knowledge than myself could work this out, but where do we go from here in terms of upgrades for each individual combat style? Obviously excluding anything thats essentially brand new (Masori, Torva, Shadow of Tumeken) is it just going to be straight powercreep from here on out? BIS neck slots for Melee and Range are over 6 years old at this point, and the Frem rings are pushing 2 decades old. The polling system only existed in the first place to say “no” to content and changes, not to say “yes”. These people deserve to have their voices heard too - they’re the reason the polling system even exists. I know this is all semantic but there are genuinely people who believe a certain piece of content isģ) or they think there should be no more changes at all That’s not fair either right? That would never happen though because the system is tipped in favor of repolling failed content, not passed content. What if they repolled things that already passed? Something passes at 76%, then repolls and fails at 74%. Let’s look at it from another perspective. You’ve effectively made the purpose of having a cutoff worthless by only giving more chances if it FAILS. If you repoll it there’s a guarantee that it will fluctuate by a few percentage, so if you repoll 5 times it’s guaranteed to go through. For example, let’s say something polls at 74% (I’m pretty sure that’s the cutoff still, but if not just assume it is). Some weeks certain players are online and will vote, others on other weeks.īy repolling things you’re heavily favoring the option of putting it in the game. Polls hit different rates every time even within a difference of one week. No, repolling directly effects the integrity of polls in general. For more information about account bans, click here.
